Between Land & Sea

Day dedicated to visiting Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the Siamese kingdom. We set off to discover the historic center of the city, including the Wat Mahathat temple, dating from the late 14th century. We continue towards the Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, which formerly served as a royal temple, and is therefore the largest in the city; Finally, the Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, from where we can enjoy the sunset over its ruins.

This morning, we start the day with a visit to the Baan Saladin agrotourism village, where you will discover the process of making the famous puffed rice cakes, before being able to savor a tasting.

We then continue our adventure with an exploration of the grand Maha Sawat canal, formerly used to supply Bangkok's markets. Aboard a boat, we will enjoy a peaceful ride through its waters, while observing local wildlife and feeding the fish.

Back on solid ground, we will visit a fruit garden, where you can admire plantations of gac fruit and discover the production of various products based on this unique fruit.

We will end this morning with a visit to a lake where magnificent lotus flowers bloom, offering a peaceful landscape to contemplate.

We then head towards Nakhon Pathom, which is home to the Wat Phra Pathom Chedi, the tallest stupa in Thailand.

Départ pour la gare et embarquement vers 10h40 dans le fameux ''train de la mort'' rendu célèbre par l'histoire du film ''le pont de la rivière Kwai'', pour environ 1 heure de train vers l'Ouest et la région de SaiYok, située à 70 km à l'ouest à l'extrémité de la ligne de train.

Après le déjeuner, nous passons l'après-midi à "Elephant Haven". Sur place, nous achetons des paniers de fruits (non compris – environ 3 euro le panier), friandises des pachydermes.
En début d'après-midi, nous profitons d'un moment d'exception : la baignade avec les Élephants ! Retour en fin d'après-midi à Kanchanaburi.

Morning departure for the national park and Erawan Falls (60 km drive). This national park is home to a superb waterfall extending over 7 levels, forming natural pools with emerald blue water populated by Mahseer Barbs. If you prefer, you can stay around the first 3 levels, the easiest to access, and swim there, but an ascent to the 7th level, while not difficult, is rewarding: La Phu Pha Erawan, the final waterfall being the most majestic of the site.

We board our flight to Krabi, where we join Ao Nang, a lively beach resort. With its true postcard landscape, the region is characterized by its karst peaks and numerous islands bordered by turquoise waters of incredible beauty.

Transfer to the magnificent nature of Phang Nga Bay, with its breathtaking landscapes and unique caves hidden among the immense limestone cliffs.

We begin our journey on the water in the most traditional way – our longtail boat takes us along the lush mangrove forests, which are, among other things, the habitat of monitor lizards, snakes, long-tailed macaques and various species of birds.

We will reach the islands of Koh Hong, an archipelago renowned for its shallow coral reefs and beaches like Koh Ladin and Pak Bier. On the island, the white sand of rare fineness and the emerald green sea make the surroundings magical. You will discover the interior of the island during a beautiful walk that will take you to the viewpoint where you will enjoy a spectacular 360° view of all the surrounding islands!

You will also discover its incredible lagoon, surrounded by immense verdant peaks and bordered by mangroves.

Return transfer to your hotel.

Private cruise

At 12:30 pm - after your lunch, we are transferred to the docks where we board our private longtail boat. From there, we set off for a half-day cruise to Koh Hong Island where we can swim, snorkel (equipment provided) and relax on the island's stunning white sand beaches.

At the end of the day, we will enjoy a barbecue on Pak Bia Island before swimming, if weather and moon conditions permit, in the company of bioluminescent phytoplankton. Private activity with English-speaking guide.

Upon arrival at the airport, we take our flight to Bangkok.

Then, on foot, you reach Wat Pho, one of Bangkok's oldest temples, renowned for its peaceful atmosphere and elegant pavilions. You discover the impressive Reclining Buddha, an iconic figure of the place, as well as the inner courtyards dotted with stupas and refined decorative details.

Then, you cross the river aboard a small boat to reach Wat Arun, the famous "Temple of Dawn", standing on the right bank. Upon arrival, you admire its spectacular central prang, finely decorated with porcelain mosaics and floral motifs that glimmer in the light.

Cruise aboard a private traditional long-tail boat on the Chao Praya river, one of the country's most important waterways and a vital artery of Bangkok. As you drift along the water, you discover the "Venice of the Orient," among peaceful klongs, stilt houses and small temples hidden along the banks.

In the evening, free walk in the Chinatown district of Yaowarat and Talat Noi. Night at the W22 by Burasari hotel. 1 Superior Room
