L’esprit du voyage

The klongs of Bangkok buzz with activity as long-tail boats glide between golden temples and the flower market at Pak Khlong Talat. The Death Railway winds towards Kanchanaburi, where elephants wade in rivers and the seven waterfalls of Erawan draw their turquoise pools in the tropical forest.

The journey shifts with the night train to Chumphon, then total immersion in the fishing village of Pathiu. Here, Thai families share their daily lives: preparing local meals, boat trips to coral islets, rides on sandbanks. Finally, Koh Tao unfolds its world-renowned seabeds, between reef diving and relaxation on white sandy beaches.

This circuit reveals Thailand in all its facets: from the royal splendor of Bangkok to the rural traditions of the South, from Second World War historical sites to preserved fishing communities. An authentic journey where each stage unveils a different face of the Siamese kingdom.

A dive into the heart of Bangkok

BangkokGuide francophone

Accompanied by your guide, you reach the quays and board a public river bus. Following the water, you head towards the historic city centre on the right bank, until you reach the flower market at Pak Khlong Talat. Stroll through the fragrant aisles and enjoy your first immersion in an authentic and traditional Asia.

We set out to discover the architectural gems of Bangkok. Let us marvel at the splendor of the Grand Palace of Bangkok, built in 1782: a sumptuous complex of buildings and inner courtyards, including Wat Phra Kaeo (Temple of the Emerald Buddha). We discover the famous Emerald Buddha, a precious statue dating from the 14th century, at the heart of one of the most revered sanctuaries in the country.

Then, on foot, we reach Wat Pho, one of Bangkok's oldest temples, renowned for its peaceful atmosphere and elegant pavilions. We discover the impressive Reclining Buddha, an iconic figure of the place, as well as the inner courtyards dotted with stupas and refined decorative details.

Then, we cross the river on board a small boat to reach Wat Arun, the famous "Temple of Dawn", standing on the right bank. Upon arrival, we can admire its spectacular central prang, finely decorated with porcelain mosaics and floral motifs that glitter in the light.

Cruise aboard a private traditional long-tail boat on the Chao Praya river, one of the country's most important waterways and a vital artery of Bangkok. As we drift along the water, we discover the "Venice of the East," between peaceful canals, stilt houses and small temples hidden along the banks.

We continue our journey and discover the colorful, lively floating market rich in flavors of Damnoen Saduak.

By boat, along the narrow canals of the market, we discover stalls of goods swaying joyfully on the water. We negotiate fresh fruits, clothing or Thai masks on a wooden boat from female vendors proudly wearing a straw hat and dresses in bright colors.

We finally arrive in Kanchanaburi, where we will take time to visit the Wat Tham Sua, accessible by climb with a small cable-car (local standards !!
