The still-fresh morning asphalt crunches under your tires as pineapple plantations stretch out endlessly before you. Here, in the hills of Kaeng Krachan, begins a cycling adventure that will take you from mango and papaya orchards to the crystal-clear waters of Koh Tao.
You will traverse country roads forgotten by time, stop at stalls selling fresh coconuts, explore the majestic cave-temple of Phraya Nakhon and discover the authentic fishing villages of the west coast. Between Pranburi and Bang Saphan, each pedal stroke reveals a preserved Thailand, rhythmed by tides and seasons.
This gulf region concentrates the very essence of Thai culture: Buddhist temples nestled in limestone formations, traditional floating markets, and that legendary hospitality that turns each stop into an encounter. A two-wheeled journey that combines physical effort and cultural immersion, far from the beaten track.

Welcome and free exploration of Bangkok
Upon arrival at Bangkok International Airport, you will be welcomed by our team and transferred to your hotel. Rooms will be available from 2:00 PM onwards. The rest of the day is free.
Depending on your arrival time, you may explore your neighborhood, discover the first flavors of Thai cuisine, stroll through the lively streets or simply relax at the hotel.
Transfer to Kaeng Krachan
Our journey begins at your hotel in Bangkok, where you will have a first opportunity to discover the bustling life of the city and visit some of its iconic cultural sites. We head towards the magnificent Kaeng Krachan region, 3 hours drive away.
Once there, you will have time to test your bike, make adjustments if necessary and explore the surrounding lake and rivers, or simply relax by the pool while waiting for the ride to begin the next day. English-speaking bike guide and support vehicle
Bangkok → Kaeng Krachan
Kaeng Krachan – Pranburi
We start in the hills of Kaeng Krachan and descend throughout the day towards Hua Hin and Pranburi beach. Today, we leave our hotel on country roads and cross mango, papaya and lemon orchards and magnificent pineapple plantations as far as the eye can see. We immerse ourselves in life in the Thai countryside by traveling isolated roads that are a cyclist's paradise.
We continue our journey to the lesser-known Tham Laplae monastery, where we visit an amazing cave-temple and find shelter from the heat, before traveling a short distance to Monsoon Valley, our lunch spot overlooking magnificent vineyards (tasting possible).
After a well-deserved long break, we pedal towards a plateau that seems forgotten in time and where life seems to unfold at the pace of the sun. Arrival in Pranburi in late afternoon marks the beginning of what will become our daily routine: a refreshing swim in the hotel pool or in the Gulf of Thailand. Pranburi – Prachuap Khiri Khan
We take the coastal road at sunrise towards Sam Roi Yot National Park (300 peaks) which is full of spectacular limestone formations and splendid marshes covered with lotus flowers. Breakfast time arrives in an exceptional setting after 22 kms on peaceful roads as the countryside awakens, before continuing towards the highlight of the day: We stop by the water and take the boat to visit the majestic Phraya Nakhon cave and the incredible temple it houses.
Back on our bikes, we get back in the saddle for a short distance on the main road to our very simple but very typical lunch spot, before heading back to the coast passing through many small villages.
The last part is along the beach to Prachuap Khiri Khan. Prachuap Khiri Khan – Ban Krut
We leave the hotel and drive along the seafront to reach the very quiet main road and cross the military landing strip before a coffee break with local delicacies. We continue away from tourist areas and alternate between stretches along the beach and winding roads through coconut plantations that bring us welcome relative freshness. A peaceful and contemplative ride to be savored…
We head towards our hotel for the day on the beachfront. It is now time to relax, listen to the waves or take a walk in the peaceful fishing village and discover how the daily task of net repair takes place.
At sunset, don't miss a visit to Wat Tang Sai temple, perched on a hill and offering breathtaking views of the beach. It was built to mark the 50th anniversary of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's reign. One of the most beautiful temples in Thailand!

Ban Krut – Bang Saphan
Here is a well-deserved rest day; you can therefore decide to do the 30 kms that take us to our superb hotel for the day, or simply board our vehicle to let your legs rest completely.
During the day, you will have the choice between relaxing by the pool, on the beach or going for a walk around the area. You can also opt for a snorkeling trip on the magnificent small neighboring island of Koh Talu.

Bang Saphan - Chumphon
We set off on our last day of cycling along the Royal Coastal Route, an incredible stretch that offers us views of the sea and fishing villages on one side, and majestic mountains on the other. We cross the narrowest part of Thailand, where the border with Burma is sometimes less than 20 kms away. We pedal through rubber and palm plantations on some of the quietest roads until we reach Kaeo Prasert temple, from where we enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks.
From there, we continue riding on winding roads to reach our lunch spot by the sea and treat ourselves again to delicious local specialties – or we can cover these few kilometres by vehicle if your legs have had enough.
We end the journey just north of Chumphon and enjoy one last swim in the Gulf of Thailand or in the soothing salt water pool after all those kilometres! 71km of cycling that day with an elevation gain of +500 metres

Heading to Koh Tao
We take the boat to Koh Tao for a final week of relaxation. This island is renowned for its snorkeling spots.

Before your arrival, you must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a digital arrival form implemented by the Thai authorities.
This document allows you to transmit to immigration services certain information required for entry into the country:

The form should generally be completed online in the days prior to your arrival. A digital confirmation or QR code may be requested when passing through immigration.
Travelling with children
