After visiting Bangkok, we head to Chiang Mai, the beautiful jewel of the north where we stay for 3 nights to discover the city and its surroundings. This mountainous region on the borders of Laos, Burma and Thailand is situated at the confluence of the Mekong and is the land of numerous ethnic minorities where the beauty of the rice field landscapes is only matched by the smile of the inhabitants who populate this region. Then we head towards the Andaman coast where we will rest on the peaceful island of Koh Yao Yai.

Welcome and Free Visit to Bangkok
Upon arrival at Bangkok International Airport, welcome by our team, then transfer to our hotel. Rooms available from 2:00 PM. Rest of the day free.
Depending on our arrival time, we can set out to explore our neighborhood, discover the first flavors of Thai cuisine, stroll through the lively streets or simply relax at the hotel.
Free day in the Capital
Bangkok, the vibrant capital of Thailand, offers a multitude of captivating activities. Explore the lively markets and try delicious Thai street food. Immerse yourself in spirituality by visiting iconic temples such as Wat Pho. Immerse yourself in the thriving artistic and cultural scene by visiting galleries and attending traditional shows.
Discover the city's historical wealth at the Royal Palace. Savor a cocktail on rooftops that offer stunning panoramic views.
Don't forget to venture into the canals for a unique experience. Bangkok, with its fusion of traditions and modernity, promises an unforgettable adventure.
19h35 - we board our overnight train bound for Chiang Mai. You will have time to do some shopping before boarding to buy food for the train journey.

First Steps in the Beauty of the North
Vers Chiang Mai
Early in the morning, our train arrives at the station. Upon our exit, we meet our driver who accompanies us to your hotel.
Room availability may occur until 14:00. If your room is not yet ready upon arrival, you can leave your luggage at reception and begin your city discovery at a leisurely pace.
After dropping off your luggage at your hotel, set out to discover Chiang Mai's iconic temples by bicycle. You will visit Wat Phra Singh, known for its elegant architecture, then Wat Chedi Luang, famous for its impressive ruined pagoda, before finishing at Wat Sri Suphan, also called the "Silver Temple".
Day accompanied by a Spanish-speaking guide.
Return to your hotel for lunch time.
Early afternoon free.
In the afternoon, we attend a Thai cooking class taught in English in the countryside, outside the city, in an old Lanna style house.
Note: Vegetarian or vegan dishes available.
On the menu:
- Tom Kha Gai (chicken soup with coconut milk and lemon)
- Pad Thaï (Thai-style stir-fried rice noodles)
- Panang Moo (Panang curry with pork)
- Poh Pia tod (fried spring rolls)
For dessert, Khao Niao Mamuang is served (glutinous rice with coconut milk and mango).
Trekking among the Karen of Northern Thailand
This morning, you will depart from Chiang Mai aboard a songthaew, an emblematic local vehicle of the North. The journey takes you to the Mae Wang valley, southwest of the city, crossing increasingly lush countryside: hills, rice fields and small villages mark the route. An authentic first transition towards rural Thailand, far from urban hustle and bustle.
Upon our arrival, we begin a guided hike along the Mae Wang trails. . First we walk along a mountain stream, before reaching the heights and crossing the terraced rice fields that shape the region's relief. We take a break to eat near a waterfall, with the opportunity to cool off.
In the afternoon, the hike continues through the crops and mountain roads. We arrive at a Karen village for a stop, and then continue towards the rice fields where their guesthouse is located, to end the day peacefully very close to local life.
Day accompanied by an English-speaking trekking guide. Total duration: approximately 5h30, of which 3h30 of actual walking.
Tonight we are received for dinner and the night in a Karen family home, in an impressive setting on the edge of the jungle, surrounded by rice fields.
Doi Inthanon, Thailand's Peak
In the company of our guide, we set out this day towards the mountains that dominate the city of Chiang Mai, in Doi Inthanon National Park.
We finally reach the highest point in Thailand and begin a hike of approximately 1h30 in the forest and ridge with a magnificent panoramic view in the Pha Dok Seaw trail region. We will pass near waterfalls and discover the 2 enormous pagodas that rise at the summit of the mountain.
On our way back, we will stop for a short walk by the Wachirathan waterfalls.

Flight to the Andaman Coast
Our driver takes you to Chiang Mai airport where we head south / west to Thailand, and the Andaman coast.
We board our flight bound for Phuket.

After breakfast, we transfer you to the docks where we board our boat heading to Phuket, the largest island in Thailand.
